Amsterdam Institute for Painting

has as goal to promote the art of painting at a professional level. It does this -amongst other things- by organising master classes, courses, exhibtions, events and by publishing.

Since its start in 1993 the institute has been working with institutions like the Stedelijk Museum, Stichting De Beurs van Berlage, Gerrit Rietveld Academie, De Kunsthal, Stichting Teleac/NOT, The Amsterdam Summer University and the KunstRai.

The institute accomplished the following:

a.o. Jiri Dokoupil, Jörg Immendorff, and Milan Kunc, Peter Klashorst and Jurriaan van Hall.

EVENTS LIKE
A Propos Portret, the Katwijk Summer Painting Festival, the Marathon of Gorredijk

PUBLICATIONS LIKE
Sandra Derks: I walked into a Noitulover, Phil Bloom: Paintings 1980 - 1991, After Nature: Raiders of the lost art, Jurriaan van Hall - artists monography

and coordinated the television course, 'Acryl painting with Peter Klashorst' of Teleac/NOT.
